Maelor is renowned for the quality of their genetics research, aiding tree resilience, improving tree health and helping ensure the best quality from their trees. They believe in home-grown trees from the seed produced in their own seed orchards through to the saplings ready to plant in the ground.

The group has seven sawmills in the UK – in Newbridge-on-Wye, Southampton, Carlisle, Dalbeattie, Petersmuir, Fort William and Boat of Garten – and one in Riga, Latvia. The headquarters are based in Earlston, Berwickshire, where the business originated.
