Maelor Forest Nurseries

Maelor Forest Nurseries Ltd is part of the BSW Timber Group Limited and produces an extensive range of commercial forestry and native broadleaf species, marketing approximately 28 million trees a year to customers throughout the UK and Europe.

Maelor is renowned for the quality of their genetics research, aiding tree resilience, improving tree health and helping ensure the best quality from their trees. They believe in home-grown trees from the seed produced in their own seed orchards through to the saplings ready to plant in the ground.

Established over 25 years ago and headquartered in the Scottish Borders, the business boasts state-of-the-art forestry equipment and market leading capabilities to harvest some of the largest and most complex forests in the UK.

BSW Timber

The group has seven sawmills in the UK – in Newbridge-on-Wye, Southampton, Carlisle, Dalbeattie, Petersmuir, Fort William and Boat of Garten – and one in Riga, Latvia. The headquarters are based in Earlston, Berwickshire, where the business originated.

Having undertaken a £125m investment programme over the last 10 years, BSW is committed to supporting sustainable forestry. All the company’s timber is FSC® certified – and Chain of Custody certification traces the wood from forest to distribution. This ensures that customers receive timber that is from legal, environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable forests.

BSW formerly known as SCA Wood is the manufacturer and distributer of timber products of timber products for home improvements and building merchants.

A one-stop-shop for quality wood products,  providing high quality machined softwood, carcassing, MDF, decking and sheet materials.

BSW Energy

BSW Energy manufactures a range of renewable wood fuel products that are distributed into domestic and trade markets from the BSW site in Fort William. BSW Energy are a BSL authorised supplier and also Woodsure accredited by HETAS which means its fuels are certified to be both safe and efficient.

Bayram Timber

Bayram: Bayram are a market leading timber processor and manufacturer, and a key supplier into the UK caravan, leisure home and garden sectors. Established over 20 years ago Bayram operate from a 17-acre site and process 120,000m3 of machined and further refined timber annually.

Alvic Plastics

Proudly located in Telford, Shropshire – Alvic Plastics is the UK’s largest manufacturer of Extruded Wood Polymer Composites (WPC).

One of the pioneers of the burgeoning WPC scene in the 1990’s, Alvic Plastics management team have over two decades of experience developing a strong background and a pristine track record both designing and manufacturing a range of cutting-edge WPC products and PVC rigid profiles.
