Mark Morgan - Senior Area Timber Buyer
Leaving school at 16, Mark completed a 3 year YTS Agri Engineering NVQ level 2 course, then continued to work with the same firm for a further 2 years. Mark joined his family forestry contracting business in 1996, as an operator.
The company generally specialised in Skyline and during his 12 years’ experience, he worked on a range of machinery, from an old county skidder to timber jack forwarder.
Mark joined Tilhill as a Harvesting Supervisor in August 2008, working in mid and North Wales. He was promoted to Harvesting Manager in 2012, covering North Wales and the Marches. In 2016 Mark’s role changed to the North Wales Timber Harvesting Manager being supported by Shaun Holt and Dafydd Lewis.
In 2019 he was promoted to Senior Area Timber Buyer alongside Steve Price but concentrating on standing timber sales in the southern area. Supporting both England Harvesting & Harvesting Contracts Managers Dave Smith, Sam Mycock and the Wales team.
