Andrew Vaughan, Regional Manager
Graduating from the University of Aberdeen in 1986, Andrew initially worked in Caithness planting large-scale upland investment forests. He then progressed through estate forest management in Deeside, timber harvesting in Highland Perthshire, then for 12 years as a woodland design, planting and management consultant working throughout the UK. He eventually joined Tilhill in 2004.
This broad experience has been ideally suited to manage all aspects of retained client properties, the development of fixed price contracting and consultancy services, and latterly, significant woodland creation projects.
Since 2012 the district managed area, client base and management team have steadily grown.
Andrew has been an examiner for the Institute of Chartered Foresters Professional Membership Entry and Assessment of Professional Competence levels since 2006 and joined the Institute as a member of Council in 2020.
Additional duties also currently include participation with the Delivery Committee of the Central Scotland Green Network Trust and membership of the Scottish Forestry Grant Scheme Customer Representatives Group.
