Garth Dearden - Senior Forest Manager
Garth has over 15 years’ experience in the forestry industry, predominantly working as a Timber Harvesting Manager in the North of England. Since joining Tilhill in 2022, Garth in his role as a Senior Forest Manager covers Northumberland and the Scottish Borders, he manages a portfolio of commercial forest properties with a varied client base.
He has practical and theoretical knowledge of forestry and silviculture practises, demonstrating a professional management over day-to-day forestry activities and wider planning and stakeholder engagement.
He is now solely responsible for the Northumberland area expanding his current portfolio of commercial conifer forests and mixed woodlands. He is keen to promote bringing woodlands back into management as well as new woodland creation.
