Matt Harrison - Forest Manager
Matt has 25 years’ experience in practical and operational woodland management and joined our team in 2018. He started as a chainsaw operator at 17 years old and then progressed to machine operator, tree climber and then onto project and woodland management. He has a breadth of forestry, harvesting, arboriculture, tree survey and grant application experience and has worked with a wide range of utility companies, private landowners, and government departments.
Matt is the Woodland Creation Project team lead for the Midlands Area and has recently supervised multiple contracts for private individuals and estates as well as corporate clients and charities. This includes native broadleaf woodland creation sites, ranging from 0.5 to 10 plus hectares (ha). He has also supervised woodland management and restocking projects as well as landscaping and tree work projects for the commercial sector.
