Guto Roberts, Forestry Supervisor
Guto joined the Wales and Marches Region at the Bala office in October 2022. In his role as Forest Supervisor Guto overseas the completion of work programmes for the North Wales Team. It’s an enviable position, in his role he gets to travel North Wales meeting contractors neighbours regulators and forest owners. His principle responsibilities are to make sure work is completed safely, on time and to a high quality. He regularly meets Forest Managers on site and uses GIS and online tools to keep Forest Mangers informed of progress on site.
Guto has a long history of working in the forest industry in Wales, subcontracting for Tilhill for 6 years undertaking all aspects of forestry work before successfully running his own dry stone walling company for 15 years. Guto then joined NRW Integrated workforce team for 2 years based at Bala, his role involved reservoir management and flood and pollution response.
