National Forest for Wales Funding Announcement

Ar ôl peilot llwyddiannus y Grant Buddsoddi mewn Coetir y llynedd, heddiw rydym wedi agor cylch datgan diddordeb newydd a fydd yn dod i ben ar 15 Gorffennaf.

Mae’r cylch newydd hwn wedi’i ariannu ar y cyd gan Lywodraeth Cymru a Chronfa Treftadaeth y Loteri Genedlaethol. Dylid gwneud cais drwy borthol Cronfa Treftadaeth y Loteri Genedlaethol.

Cyhoeddi cyllid Coedwig Genedlaethol i Gymru

Unwaith eto, mae’r cynllun hwn ar agor i berchnogion a rheolwyr tir, gan gynnwys sefydliadau nid-er-elw. Bydd yn helpu pobl i greu coetiroedd newydd a/neu wella ac ehangu rhai presennol, yn unol â Safon Coedwigaeth y DU.

Rhaid bod gan y coetiroedd hyn botensial i ddod yn rhan o rhwydwaith y Goedwig Genedlaethol yn y dyfodol. Mae hyn yn golygu coetiroedd sy’n cael eu rheoli’n dda, yn hygyrch i bobl, ac sy’n rhoi cyfle i gymunedau lleol gyfrannu at goetiroedd a natur. Mae rhagor o wybodaeth am y Goedwig Genedlaethol i’w gweld drwy’r ddolen a ganlyn: Coedwig Genedlaethol i Gymru | LLYW.CYMRU

Bydd y cynllun yn cynnig:

  • grantiau rhwng £40,000 – £250,000 (gellir ystyried prosiectau eithriadol sy’n costio mwy),
  • hyd at 100% o gyllid,
  • hyd at 2 flynedd i gyflawni’r prosiect,
  • cyllid cyfalaf a refeniw,
  • cyllid y gellir ei gyfuno â mathau eraill o grantiau a ffynonellau cyllid,
  • cyngor a chymorth i gynllunio eich prosiect a sut i wneud cais

Bwriedir cynnal cylch arall yn nes ymlaen eleni.

National Forest for Wales funding announcement

After the successful delivery of The Woodland Investment Grant pilot last year, today we have opened a new window for expressions of interest which will close on the 15th July.

This new round is jointly funded by the Welsh Government and The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Applications should be made via the National Lottery Heritage Fund portal.

The scheme is once again open to landowners and managers, including not-for-profit organisations. It will provide support for people to create new woodlands and/or enhance and expand existing woodlands, in accordance with the UK Forestry Standard.

These woodlands must have the potential to become part of the National Forest network in the future. This means woodlands that are well-managed, accessible to people and give local communities the opportunity to get involved in woodlands and nature. Further information on the National Forest can be found at the following link: National Forest for Wales | GOV.WALES

The scheme will offer:

  • grants of £40,000 – £250,000 (exceptional projects costing more may be considered),
  • up to 100% funding,
  • up to 2 years to deliver the project,
  • capital and revenue funding,
  • funding which can be blended with other complimentary grants and sources of funding,
  • advice and support to plan your project and on how to apply

A further round is planned for later in the year.
