Glastir Woodland Restoration
Glastir Woodland Restoration Expression of Interest Window is Open until 24th of April 2020
The Glastir Woodland Restoration Scheme provides restocking grants for woodlands infected by Phytophthora ramorum and stands of larch to be replanted to help slow down the spread of the disease. When a woodland is clear-felled, the scheme provides an opportunity to diversify tree species in order to increase resilience to climate change and damage from pests and diseases.
David Edwards, District Manager, Wales & Marches said: “The latest round of Glastir Woodland Restoration is welcome as a tool in dealing with the negative effects of Larch disease in Wales. Tilhill Forestry’s professional forestry team can help with advice to anyone who has Larch within their forests and woodlands.”
