Since purchasing the timber additional windblow occurred on
a steep area of site. Once the cutting team reached this area they assessed the windblow, and with the steepness of the ground preventing it from being mechanised, they raised concerns that it wouldn’t be safe for a chainsaw operator to cut. Despite initial pushback from the landowner, Calum maintained his view, and supported by Tilhill’s harvesting team, it was agreed with the landowner the area would be left.
